Danielle DeLauro serves as Executive Vice President for the Video Advertising Bureau (VAB). DeLauro joined the VAB, then known as CAB, in 2004 as one of the initial senior management appointments made by CEO Sean Cunningham. In 2010, DeLauro was elevated from VP, Business Development to SVP, Strategic Sales Insights where she was tasked with overseeing the Insights Group, a team created to develop original, client-facing reports and studies proving the power of premium professional video content. Under her leadership, the Insights team tripled in size and has become one of the primary functions of the VAB, producing over 25 industry leading reports annually. In 2017, DeLauro was elevated to Executive Vice President and assumed direct responsibility for insights and research, marketing and communications, business development and agency/advertiser advocacy.

DeLauro was named one of Advertising Age’s 40 Under 40 in 2013, which honors the innovative young marketing leaders who have made their mark in the client, agency and media realm before their 40th birthday.

Prior to the VAB, DeLauro most recently served in positions of increasing responsibility at Universal McCann in New York. This culminated in her appointment to vice president and associate media director, where she had direct oversight for the Maytag Corporation and Nestle Waters North America accounts. This included managing 12 separate brands, a staff of nearly 10 supervisors and planners and budgets totaling $100 million.

DeLauro has vast agency experience including time as a media manager while working for where she handled online media planning for well-known brands such as Mars Inc. and Hasbro Inc. Her career also includes a stint in Los Angeles with DDB Worldwide as a senior media planner for Universal Pictures. There she developed media strategies for major motion pictures including Erin Brockovich, End of Days and The Mummy. She began her media career with D’Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles working for the firm on both coasts representing clients Coca-Cola and Proctor & Gamble.

DeLauro was a recipient of the Universal McCann Truth Well Told Award, as well as DBB Entertainment’s Unsung Hero Award. Additionally, she completed the legendary D’Arcy, Masius, Benton & Bowles media training program. DeLauro earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with honors from Fordham University. Danielle, her husband and two children make their home in Ardsley, New York.
